Liz Jeff can be found teaching Child Development & Care and Health & Social Care to students at LSCC from Year 10 through to Year 13. Originally from Glasgow, Liz has lived and worked in Cornwall and Bucks for many years. Her professional background has involved working with children and young people including running pre-schools, volunteering as a Girl Guide leader and lecturing in both Further and Higher Education, including collaboration on the creation of a Foundation degree. As a mum of four, Liz has enjoyed being a parent helper over the years and is now seeing one of her grandchildren embarking on her lifelong learning journey in Reception class. As a graduate of Plymouth and Worcester Universities and the Open University Liz is no stranger to learning and she is passionate about young children having the best opportunities in those vital first five years.

I was born and brought up in south London and trained as a professional dancer and dance teacher.  After getting married and starting a family, I moved to Cornwall in 2003 with my husband and two boys.

I started teaching dance at Liskeard School Nursery in 2005 and then retrained in Early Years education and started to work in the preschool room. I have now worked at the nursery for 15 years in supervisory roles and am currently the site manager at Liskeard School Nursery.

I enjoy watching live music, cycling and walking in the countryside and spending time at the beach.
